Universal Pictures Home Entertainment’s Cocaine Bear debuted at No. 1 on the Redbox disc rental chart the week ended April 23. The horror comedy, based on an actual incident, involves a bear becoming addicted to cocaine dumped by smugglers into the woods of Georgia, and rampaging through a national park in search of more. It earned $64.4 million at the domestic box office.
Lionsgate’s Plane retained the No. 1 spot on the Redbox On Demand chart. This marks the third consecutive week as the top digital title for the actioner, which stars Gerard Butler as a commercial pilot who must team with a criminal to rescue his passengers after crash landing in a hostile jungle. It was No. 3 on the Redbox disc rental chart, which tracks DVD and Blu-ray Disc rentals at Redbox’s thousands of red kiosks.
The No. 2 disc rental was Warner’s Magic Mike’s Last Dance, the third film starring Channing Tatum as the male stripper of the title.
The No. 2 title on the Redbox On Demand chart, which tracks digital VOD and sellthrough transactions, was Disney-owned Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, released through digital channels April 18. The latest Marvel Cinematic Universe installment finds team Ant-Man being transported to the Quantum Realm, where they encounter the villainous Kang, a warlord with plans to conquer the multiverse.
That pushed Disney-owned 20th Century Studios’ Avatar: The Way of Water to No. 3 on the Redbox On Demand chart.

The No. 4 disc rental was Universal’s Marlowe, starring Liam Neeson as Philip Marlowe, the fictional detective from the books of Raymond Chandler.
Sony Pictures’ Tom Hanks starrer A Man Called Otto slid a spot to No. 5 on the disc chart, and stayed No. 5 on the digital chart.
The No. 4 digital title was Paramount’s 80 for Brady, which has been available through digital channels since March 7 but recently offered at a discount. The film involves four elderly women who travel to the Super Bowl to meet Tom Brady.
