Universal Pictures/Illumination’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie returned to the top of the weekly chart of most-consumed digital movies across the retail, rental and streaming landscape through July 30, according to new data from JustWatch, which tracks the weekly streaming video habits, including digital retail and rental, of 20 million users across 59 markets, including the United States.
The movie topped the new Netflix movie They Cloned Tyrone, and Disney/Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which will stream for free on Disney+ beginning Aug. 2.
Among shows, “Special Ops: Lioness,” streaming on Paramount+, topped the charts.The thriller features a cast that includes series lead and executive producer Zoe Saldaña, Laysla De Oliveira, Emmy Award nominee Michael Kelly, with Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, and Academy Award winner and executive producer Nicole Kidman. Inspired by an actual U.S. Military program, “Lioness” follows the life of Joe (Saldaña) while she attempts to balance her personal and professional life as the tip of the CIA’s spear in the war on terror.

New Taylor Sheridan/Paramount+ action series “Special Ops: Lioness” topped all episodic content, knocking off previous chart toppers “Justified: City Primeval” on Hulu, and Disney+ original series “Secret Invasion”.
