Lionsgate May 19 announced that its “John Wick” movie franchise has crossed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office. The total take for the franchise now stands at $1,011,319,297, which includes 2014 original John Wick ($87,790,603); 2017’s John Wick: Chapter 2 ($171,539,887); 2019’s John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum ($326,699,727); and 2023’s John Wick: Chapter 4 ($425,289,080 and counting).

“This milestone is a testament to the incredible work of [director] Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves, alongside Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, who have made it their mission to outdo themselves with each successive film in this franchise,” said Joe Drake, chair, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, in a statement. “We could not be more grateful to global moviegoers for bringing us to this incredible achievement.”

John Wick: Chapter 4  is still yet to be released in Japan, where it will roll out later this fall. The film remains in wide release in other territories around the world. The fourth installment, in which Wick (Reeves) uncovers a path to defeating The High Table, including facing off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes, is set to release across digital retail channels on May 23, followed up by rental on June 13.
