Netflix: ‘3 Body Problem’ Topped Weekly Streaming Through March 31

The second week of access to the sci-fi series “3 Body Problem” helped it claim the top spot on the weekly overall and English language TV chart with 15.6 million views through March 31, according to new data from Netflix. That was up from 11 million views in its previous week debut.

The South African action thriller Heart of the Hunter shot to No. 1 on the English-language movie chart with 11 million views — par with the gritty French thriller The Wages of Fear, which debuted atop the non-English language movie chart also with 11 million views.

Korean series claimed No. 1 and No. 2 on the non-English language TV chart with the limited series “Queen of Tears,” at 4.6 million views, and season two of the reality competition series “Physical: 100,” which added 4.2 million views.

Making their debuts on the English-language TV chart were the docudrama “Testament: The Story of Moses” at No. 2 with 13.5 million views; season two of the reality series “Buying Beverly Hills” at No. 8 with 1.9 million views; and the stand-up special “Dave Attell: Hot Cross Buns” at No. 10 with 1.5 million views.

Guy Ritchie’s “The Gentlemen,” the aristocratic gangster series, tracked 7.8 million views on the English-language TV chart, and the docuseries “Homicide: New York” racked up 4.7 million views. Animated kids series had a strong showing on the chart, with season nine of “Gabby’s Dollhouse” claiming the No. 6 spot with 2.3 million views; “Bad Dinosaurs” at No. 7 with 2 million views; and “Hot Wheels Let’s Race” at No. 9 with 1.9 million views. Notably, the original series reboot “Avatar: The Last Airbender” spent its sixth week on the chart at No. 5 with 7.8 million views.  

Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan’s romantic comedy Irish Wish ranked No. 2 on the English-Language movie chart with 10.5 million views. A former chart topper, Millie Bobby Brown’s action fantasy Damsel, rounded out the podium with 10.3 million views. Regina King’s Shirley, which tells the story of the late politician Shirley Chisholm, the first black woman in Congress and her trailblazing 1972 U.S. presidential run, finished at No. 6 on the English-langue movie chart with 4.1 million views. Elsewhere, the animated film The Casagrandes Movie finished at No. 5 with 4.3 million views. 

Finally, the Polish quirky comedy No Pressure finished at No. 2 on the non-English language movie chart with 9.5 million views, while the Argentinian drama Rest in Peace ranked No. 4 with 9.5 million views.
