Lionsgate’s Plane debuted at No. 1 on the Circana VideoScan First Alert chart, which tracks combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc unit sales, and the dedicated Blu-ray Disc chart the week ended April 1.

The actioner, which stars Gerard Butler as a commercial airline pilot who must team with a convict to rescue his passengers after crash landing in a hostile jungle, earned $32.1 million at the domestic box office.

The previous week’s top overall seller, Universal Pictures’ creepy android doll thriller M3GAN, dropped to No. 2 on the overall disc sales chart and No. 4 on the Blu-ray chart.

The No. 3 overall disc seller, and No. 10 on the Blu-ray Disc chart, was Sony Pictures’ Tom Hanks starrer A Man Called Otto.

Universal Pictures’ Puss in Boots: The Last Wish was No. 4 on the overall disc chart. The DreamWorks Animation sequel was No. 7 on the Blu-ray chart.

The No. 5 overall disc seller was another newcomer, Warner’s Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham, a direct-to-video animated movie. It was the No. 2 Blu-ray seller and No. 6 on the dedicated 4K chart.

The No. 3 Blu-ray seller was Crunchyroll’s Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (No. 6 overall), while No. 5 was Lionsgate’s Everything Everywhere All at Once (No. 7 overall).

Among other new releases, Sony Pictures’ Missing, about a girl scouring the internet for her mother, was No. 10 overall and No. 13 on the Blu-ray chart.

The top 4K title was MPI’s release of Netflix’s Oscar-lauded All Quiet on the Western Front, which was No. 19 overall and No. 8 on the Blu-ray Disc chart.

All Quiet was released on disc only as a 4K/Blu-ray combo pack, and thus had a 100% HD sales share. Plane had 61% of its sales come from Blu-ray Disc units, with 45% from regular Blu-ray and 16% from 4K. Doom That Came to Gotham was similarly released only as Blu-ray or 4K combo packs, and thus had a 100% Blu-ray sales rate, but 15% of its total came from 4K units.
