Samba TV: ‘Heart of Stone’ Opening Viewership Lags Behind ‘Red Notice’

The new Netflix actioner Heart of Stone, starring Gal Gadot generated 1.8 million views in the first three days of streaming through Aug. 13, according to new data from Samba TV, which tracks viewership intel across 48 million connected televisions worldwide.

The tally paled in comparison to Gadot’s previous Netflix actioner Red Notice, which generated 4.2 million views in its first 72 hours. That movie ranks as Netflix’s most-watched English-language movie with 230.9 million views. Red Notice co-starred Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds.

Black, Hispanic, and Asian households all overindexed based on viewership of Heart of Stone (Netflix) during the L+2D window, at plus 11%, plus 21%, and  plus 18%, respectively. Of the top 25 largest designated market areas, Miami overindexed the most (plus 76%), followed by Sacramento, Calif., (plus 44%) and Portland, Ore., (plus 38%) for L+2D.

“Gal Gadot’s second major Netflix original made a splash this weekend, but was just a drop in the bucket compared to her first original [Netflix movie],” Cole Strain, VP of measurement products at Samba TV, said in a statement.
